ABOUT ME

art, empathy, and collaboration

Hey there! Welcome to my website. Please, take your shoes off and have a look around. By the time you leave you'll be thinking "Wow, Becca seems like such a cool/professional/funny/charming person, I simply

must hire them for all of my projects forever!" Is it working?

Anyways, here's a bit about me:

From the time I was 7 years old, I've always found myself in a theater. The musty smell of old velvet seats, toes poking through holes in well worn jazz slippers, and the thrill of being part of an ensemble are formative to my earliest memories.

In college at UC Irvine and through my training with the Stella Adler Studio in NYC I studied Shakespeare, Chekhov, Clowning, and Classic and Modern Playwrights alike. I began to try on more hats (directing, designing, writing, captaining UCI's premier improv team: The Live Nude People*) and began to consider myself roundly: a Theater Maker.

During the Pandemic I kept sane by crying, knitting, and reading all the way through Shakespeare's cannon! I miss performing something fierce and am itching to get back to work.

Now I am living in Chicago, and am interested in telling stories and creating spaces that break down binaries, empower Queer and BIPOC Folks, and dismantle the patriarchy. I have roots in classics, comedy, and physical theater.

Offstage you can find me rock climbing, watering my plants, or happily plucking a random stringed instrument.
